AirLive introduces the latest model of multi-function 11G AP built for WISP applications, AirMax2. The AirMax2 is a wireless outdoor CPE that combines our expertise in WISP products, it is meticulously designed inside out to meet all the outdoor application requirements. The CPE enclosure is built with high grade anti-UV materials for protection from prolonged sunshine and rain. Therefore, it is suitable for both outdoor and industrial applications. Inside the housing is an integrated 10dBi panel antenna projecting in the forward direction. The internal PCBA slides out for easy maintenance. To speed up an installation process, there is also a 4-level LED to assist with Antenna alignment. The built-in advanced passive Power Over Ethernet will let your AirMax2 operate up to 100 meter distance from power source. The AirMax2's high powered 11g/b radio can deliver up to 26dBm - 20dBm in EU average output power. It can achieve over 3km using the built-in antenna. If more distance is required, you can attach an external antenna using the R-SMA antenna connector. In a recent outdoor test, the AirMax2 achieved over 25km distance using our WAE-2424GR grid antenna. As the 2.4GHz spectrum becomes increasing crowded, the interference can severely hamper the performance of outdoor wireless equipments. Products that achieve over 100Mbps in laboratory conditions drop to single digit performance in the real outdoor environment. The AirMax2 can function as an AP, Client, Bridge, Repeater, WISP Router or AP Router. Therefore, you can instantly transform the CPE to different wireless applications. The AirMax2 provides the capability to control total bandwidth or per user's bandwidth. Therefore, the WISP operators can offer different class of connection speeds for different subscription fees - just like the ADSL service.
