Gigabyte GA-8N-SLI Quad Royal nForce4 SLI Intel Edition Review

Being the first NF4-SLI Intel Edition board from Gigabyte, we were pleased that the board was exceptionally stable. Our ATI Radeon X1800XL and nVidia GeForce 6600GT both work with this NF4 board without any hiccups, nevertheless end-user would probably choose nVidia card to take advantage of SLI technology. You can install up to 4 graphic cards with 8 lanes each and connect up to 8 monitors. For the extreme, you can even fill up the single PCI slot with another graphic card to make it 10! The BIOS menu offers very comprehensive tweaking options that will satisfy the needs of hardcore overclockers. The board also features Gigabyte CIA2 and MIB2 to save the hassle to overclock the system manually. Performance wise, we were suprised that the Quad Royal can out-perform the Intel's flagship i975 chipset. With 7 fans connectors, HSF on both north/south bridge, and plenty of clearance around CPU area, cooling should never be a problem even to hardcore overclockers. Gigabyte also bundle the board with PowerDVD, Norton Internet Security and Bluetooth USB dongle to make the package even more attractive.
